2nd AGM

Our annual general meeting will be an opportunity to network with other doctors, hear the latest from Dr. Rod Andrew, director of the IMG Residency Program at St. Paul's Hospital as well as Dr. Clem Williams.  Dr. Williams was the first doctor in BC to request from the College that he supervise an IMG in his practice and thus started the temporary education license for 'Clinical Trainees.' Hear his insights and tips on how to become a clinical trainee and the success stories of IMGs he has supervised in his practice. 

Our membership will also be having elections and for guests there is an opportunity to join the association, which by the way is free. There will be light refreshments. 

When: Monday November 21st 2005   6:30p.m. - 9:00pm

Where: Croation Cultural Centre, 3250 Commercial Drive. This is Commercial and 15th, just a short walk from the Broadway Skytrain station.

AIMD's next executive committee meeting will take place at in December on a date to be announced. Meetings are from 6-8pm at the offices of the Immigrant Services Society: 501-333 Terminal Avenue, Vancouver, one block east of the Main Street Skytrain station.

If you are an internationally trained medical doctor and are interested in working with other IMGs to effect positve change please come out and lend a hand. We are stronger in larger numbers.
